Seaboard Marine advises its valued customers of an important update regarding the Seaboard Sky V-2.
The vessel experienced a delay in its initial port call at Santo Tomas on August 17th due to port congestion caused by slow port operations. These slower operations impacted the vessel’s ability to berth promptly, limiting both the unloading of import cargo and the loading of export cargo.
To maintain the integrity of our weekly schedule, the Seaboard Sky V-2 departed for its next scheduled port call and has since returned to Santo Tomas, where it is currently waiting at anchor for a berthing window to resume operations.
Unfortunately, on Monday, August 18th, a labor dispute brought all operations at Santo Tomas to a standstill until further notice. The Seaboard Sky V-2 will remain at anchor unless it becomes necessary to bypass the port to preserve the reliability of our weekly service, should a resolution not be achieved today.
We understand the impact this may have on your supply chain and are actively monitoring the situation. We will provide further updates as they become available.
Thank you for your continued trust in Seaboard Marine.
