POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and support of EDI processes and tools. Serves as a resource and subject matter expert to coordinate efforts across all stakeholders, including business users, IT, and third-party vendors. This individual is responsible for monitoring, documenting and correcting the day to day operational errors that occur in our EDI software. QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in business and/or system analysis.
- Minimum two (2) years of technical experience with EDI tools and processes.
- Experience with EDI 300, 301, 304, 310, 315, 322 and/or equivalent documents and ANSI X12 EDI Standards.
- Experience communicating between the business community and an IT organization.
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and be detail oriented.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to think logically, follow procedures, instructions and make sound decisions.
- Ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with managers, staff and customers and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, users, and customers.
- Ability to work within a team or independently, with limited supervision, multitask and possess strong initiative.

Preferred
- Prior experience as an EDI Analyst in the transportation, shipping, or logistics industry.
- Knowledge of Cleo/Cleo Clarify.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary
- Provide functional knowledge and technical support to the business through developed and ad hoc analysis/reporting as well as designing new process/reports.
- Review, analyze, and implement mapping changes to meet business and customer requirements.
- Coordinate all EDI testing, implementations, and upgrades.
- Monitor the EDI workflow to prevent and correct any errors, in collaboration with key stakeholders, including management, development teams and end users. Must be able to troubleshoot problems over the phone.
- Monitor and maintain EDI systems, including data mapping, translations, and interfaces.
- Maintain up to date documentation on each EDI customer contacts, specific rules for exceptions, etc.
- Maintain detailed documentation and process flow for all EDI processes.
- Develop and maintain EDI documentation.
- Advise and consult with departments regarding the identification of EDI problem areas and assist with determining problem resolution.
- Document steps taken to resolve reported problems.
- Prepare test data, conditions, and expected results to verify system logic and to validate that the systems meet user requirements.
- Maintain working knowledge of industry EDI standards and best practices; adhere to them for all tasks.
- Acquire and maintain in-depth technical skills in a complex, technical environment.
Secondary
- Participate in the development and delivery of software applications training programs and individual classes.
- Other Special projects as assigned by Management.

Reports to Application Development Manager. Does not exercise supervision over other staff.
CONDITIONS:
- Indoors office, controlled temperature environment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate due to telephones and employees that approach the department.
