Seaboard Marine wishes to advise our valued customers of an increase to the South Florida Fumigation Fee effective November 23, 2025.
On full container load shipments in which US Customs, USDA, or any other governmental agency requires fumigation at a designated facility, the following charges apply for this service when performed in a designated South Florida facility, if Seaboard Marine is billing on behalf of the customer. For all other U.S. ports, fumigation service is arranged through a third party for the cargo’s account.
The following fees will apply:
1. When cargo remains in its initial container without rehandling or other manipulation of the cargo – $1,390.00
2. When cargo must be moved from its initial container to another container for fumigation, but cargo does not have to be moved back into its initial container – $1,390.00
3. When certain cargo must be segregated from the initial container, loaded into another container for fumigation, and moved back again to the initial container – $1,585.00
4. When cargo must be segregated into two separate containers and both containers are then fumigated – $1,935.00
Exception: $835.00 will apply on 20′ and 40′ container export commodities only when cargo remains in its initial container without rehandling or other manipulation of the cargo. 53′ trailers are $997.00
If USDA requires further action, additional charges will apply.
As always, we thank you for your continued support.
