As part of U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) updated requirements for the Electronic Export Manifest (EEM), carriers must fully comply with the electronic submission process effective October 1, 2025.
To meet these new regulatory requirements, Seaboard Marine will be strictly enforcing our current documentation cut-off times for all shipments, effective immediately. This step ensures that complete and accurate data is transmitted to CBP in accordance with the EEM mandate.
Shipping Instructions MUST include ALL the ITN #’s and/or Exemption clauses by the stipulated cut-offs.
Failure to meet Seaboard Marine’s published documentation cut-off times may result in cargo being rolled to the next available sailing at the customer’s expense. We strongly encourage all customers to carefully review their internal processes to ensure the timely submission of all required export documentation.
For questions or additional details, please reach out to your local Seaboard Marine representative.
We appreciate your cooperation as we work together to ensure seamless compliance with CBP’s updated EEM requirements.
