Starting today with the sailing of the M/V Corona J, Seaboard Marine is now offering a direct fortnightly service from Miami to Peru and Chile.
“With a transit of only eight days to Callao, Peru from Miami, Seaboard will offer a fast, direct and reliable service to our customers in Florida and the U.S. East Coast, “ said Bob Schicchi, VP-South American Services, “We will pass directly through the Panama Canal with the first port call in Peru.”
Schicchi noted that the vessel will then sail from Callao to Arica and Valparaiso, Chile.
Edward Gonzalez, Seaboard President added, “Our customers have repeatedly requested a direct service from Miami to the main ports in Peru and Chile. The added capacity is intended to meet those requests of our Florida shippers. Not only that, but we now have added a sixth dedicated vessel in the U.S. – West Coast of South America trade lane. Each of these six ships calls on Houston, including three multi-purpose vessels that can carry a wide variety of cargo types.”
Seaboard’s next sailing from Miami to Peru and Chile will be the M/V Seaboard Discovery on June 19, 2008.
