The NY/NJ Port Authority has re-opened all of its facilities with only a few minor challenges remaining. For the most part, trucking services have also returned to normal.

Both Red Hood terminal facilities (Brooklyn and Port Newark) are now fully operational. Effective this morning, Port Newark started receiving full containers. Also as of today, barge operations will resume regular runs between both ports.

Seaboard Marine’s Clark, New Jersey office has been fully functional since October 31 and is able, as normal, to serve customers in the region. Seaboard’s vessels have resumed regular weekly rotation.

Due to the situation in the Greater New York Area caused by Sandy, Seaboard Marine has posted a separate “Important Notice”, regarding “force majeure” on this website and encourages all customers to read it and act accordingly.

Seaboard Marine appreciates the support and patience of its customers during the 2012 Hurricane Season.
