Seaboard Marine participated in the annual Food for the Poor (FFTP) dinner gala; this is the 35th year that Seaboard Marine has sponsored the fundraising event that will directly benefit the materially poor throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. The 2022 Celebration of Hope Virtual Gala was held on October 29th. Seaboard Marine representatives attended virtually and enjoyed an evening of philanthropy and optimism for the future of FFTP and their work.

Established in 1982, FFTP has become one of the largest non-profit organizations in the United States. Among its many philanthropic duties, Food For the Poor is not only in the business of restoring communities; It also provides emergency relief assistance. Seaboard Marine has partnered with Food For the Poor for more than three decades by transporting thousands of containers of relief goods throughout the Americas, particularly after natural disasters.
