Seaboard Marine made its long-awaited return to the Agritrade Expo and Conference in Antigua, Guatemala. The small city surrounded by volcanoes in southern Guatemala played host to a key agricultural event that brings together international buyers with the most important exporters of fresh and processed products from Latin America. Last attended by Seaboard Marine in 2019, the expo, postponed due to the pandemic, had well over 2,000 attendees, many of whom are existing Seaboard Marine customers.

Eric Hasselmann, General Manager of Guatemala, said, “The pandemic forced the event to be postponed for nearly three years or so, and we were eager to return to in-person networking. The expo is an important networking event for Guatemala. The country’s top growers and US buyers conduct business for three days. As the country’s leader in ocean transportation to the US, our presence at this event is important.”
