Seaboard Marine is launching a new direct, all-water service that connects North Central America to the Port of New Orleans. The first vessel is scheduled to depart the Port of New Orleans Wednesday, February 12. The service will include a dedicated Seaboard Marine vessel and will provide both refrigerated and dry container service to and from the Port of New Orleans.

Jose Concepcion, Vice President of Central America, said, “The new New Orleans – North Central America service will make weekly calls to Puerto Cortes, Honduras, and Santo Tomas, Guatemala every Saturday. Port NOLA is an ideal gateway with 30-plus major inland hubs, opening markets in Central America to local exporters by providing the most efficient route available to Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Honduras.”
