During its 45th year anniversary gala on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, the Exporters Corporation of El Salvador (COEXPORT) presented Seaboard Marine with an award acknowledging 20 years of strategic partnership in El Salvador and contributions to the country’s economic growth. COEXPORT honored Seaboard Marine and three other companies for helping produce over $300 million in exports annually and ensuring the employment of more than 12,000 Salvadorans.
Senior Vice President Jose Perez-Jones accepted the prestigious award on behalf of Seaboard Marine. In a few short words, Mr. Perez-Jones expressed his gratitude for receiving recognition from COEXPORT and showcased a video of Seaboard Marine’s operations in El Salvador. “As we celebrate our own 35th year anniversary, it has been a pleasure to partner with this outstanding organization and contribute to the strengthening of El Salvador’s economy over these many years,” said Perez-Jones.
Established in 1985, COEXPORT is a private non-profit association that offers support to all of El Salvador’s companies in promoting their exports of goods and services. “We believe that we have done a very relevant job, supporting all types of export activity. We are always defending the interests of the job-creating export sector, by constantly exporting export promotion activities,” said the executive director of COEXPORT, Silvia Cuéllar.
