Seaboard Marine wishes to advise its valued customers that due to the ongoing low water conditions in the Panama Canal and the resulting operational restrictions affecting vessel transit capacity, Seaboard Marine continues to take the necessary measures to minimize potential disruptions and maintain the reliable service our customers depend on.
As part of these efforts, effective October 4, 2026, Seaboard Marine will implement a Panama Canal Low Water Surcharge (PLW) of $150 USD per TEU.
The surcharge will apply to cargo moving between Chile, Ecuador and Peru and the United States, Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean when transit through the Panama Canal is required.
The surcharge will remain in effect until further notice and will be reviewed as Panama Canal operating conditions evolve.
