Seaboard Marine wishes to advise its valued customers that the ongoing situation in the Middle East has resulted in substantial volatility in global fuel markets. These exceptional conditions are causing an increase in the cost of fuel, a critical cost component of ocean transportation. To address the significant changes in the costs of marine fuel, which are projected to continue to rise, Seaboard Marine has filed an increase to the following, effective April 12, 2026:
- Bunker Increase Between the United States, Canada, and Belize Effective April 12, 2026
- Bunker Increase Between the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean Effective April 12, 2026
- Bunker Increase Between the United States, Canada, and the Cayman Islands Effective April 12, 2026
- Bunker Increase Between the United States, Canada, and Central America, the Dominican Republic, Effective April 12, 2026
- Bunker Increase Between the United States, Canada, and Haiti Effective April 12, 2026
- Bunker Increase Between the United States, Canada, and Puerto Morelos, Mexico, Effective April 12, 2026
- Bunker Increase Between the United States, Canada and South America, Mexico Effective April 12, 2026
- Bunker Increase for all Non-U.S. Trade Lanes Effective March 22, 2026
Over the coming days, Seaboard Marine will continually monitor the situation and prevailing conditions. Prior to the implementation of the above increases going into effect on April 12, 2026, Seaboard Marine will make a final determination of increase to be implemented, which may be up to, but not more than, the amounts identified in its filing (as referenced above).
