September 16, 2009 - Seaboard Marine is again proudly sponsoring the fourth SeaCargo Americas Conference to be held November 4-6 in Miami. This conference, which promotes the growth of the maritime industry in the Americas, is expecting more than 200 executives to attend with more than 4,000 persons at the overall exhibition. For the first time ever, the SeaCargo Americas conference will be held in conjunction with the AirCargo Americas Congress and Exposition.

Bulkhead Expansion Starting Soon at Port of Miami Last Updated: July 27, 2009  
July 27, 2009 - Miami-Dade County commissioners last week approved a $6.8 million contract to construct 758’ of new bulkhead to connect two existing sections of bulkhead adjacent to the Seaboard Marine terminal at the Port of Miami. Construction should commence in September with completion in 2010.

Puerto Cortes, Honduras Reopens After Earthquake Last Updated: May 29, 2009  
May 29, 2009 - (updated 1:00 p.m. EDT). A 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck early yesterday off the coast of Honduras. As a result, the country’s main port, Puerto Cortes, was closed yesterday but has reopened today.

Seaboard Receives 580 New 40-foot Refrigerated Containers Last Updated: April 27, 2009  
April 24, 2009 - Seaboard Marine has recently received the majority of 580 new 40-foot refrigerated (reefer) high-cube containers at company locations in Chile, Costa Rica, and Miami, Florida. 430 of the new containers were received in the first quarter of 2009 with another 150 scheduled to be received in late May. This is in addition to 300 new 40-foot reefer containers that were purchased and delivered in 2008.

The Seventh Annual Beacon Awards are annually bestowed to the Miami-Dade County businesses or leaders who have led the way in creating new jobs and investment, as well as providing the leadership to grow their industry.

Seaboard Carries Huge Astronomical Antenna Last Updated: February 26, 2009  
January 19, 2009 - A three-story-high astronomical antenna destined for the high desert of northern Chile was discharged today off the M/V Seaboard Reliance in the Port of Antofagasta. The gigantic piece was loaded onto the vessel at Seaboard’s Jacintoport terminal at the Port of Houston in late December. It is the ninth in a shipment of 25 such mega-instruments designed to help world scientists delve deeper into the mysteries of the universe.
