Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Nominates Seaboard

The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) is holding its fifth annual International Business Leadership Awards luncheon on November 9, 2011. The event recognizes international businesses that make significant and positive impact to the economy of the State of Florida. Seaboard Marine is one of the finalists for the Philanthropic and Community Leadership Award, one of four awards that will be given at the ceremony.
Seaboard Marine has long been lauded for its long-term partnership with the Port of Miami which has benefited the entire business community in Miami-Dade County. The Port of Miami, known by many as the “Gateway to the Americas”, has a $17 billion annual economic impact to the State of Florida. Seaboard now carries over 44% of the cargo that passes through the Port of Miami.
Seaboard Marine was the 2009 GMCC winner of the Business Retention and Expansion award and is proud to be considered for additional recognition.
