Seaboard Marine’s Veracruz Office Re-opened.
September 20, 2010

September 20, 2010. 11:00a EDT Final Update.  Seaboard Marine’s Veracruz office has re-opened today after the passage of Hurricane Karl on Friday. Although the eye of the hurricane passed a few miles north of Veracruz, the port suffered no significant damages to the pier or the terminal itself. Seaboard’s vessel, the MV Warnow Whale, was able to normally discharge and load cargoes yesterday morning. Seaboard Marine’s office was undamaged and most employees returned to work this morning. Fortunately, none of Seaboard’s employees or their families were injured although some reported damages to their homes due to heavy rains and wind.

Seaboard’s office and port facilities in Altamira were not impacted by Hurricane Karl.
