June 10, 2010
Seaboard Marine once again was presented the award for “Top Shipping Solutions for Exporters, 2009” in the “Shipping” category at the Jamaica Exporters Association (JEA) Awards Banquet. The event was held yesterday at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston. Seaboard has also won the award four other times in the previous nine years. The plaque was presented to Michelle Marks, Director of Marketing and Sales in Seaboard’s Kingston office.
This award is presented to the shipping company or agent in Jamaica that provides the best service for promoting export trade for Jamaica shippers.
Mrs. Corah-Ann Robertson Sylvester said, “The Seaboard team is humbled by this honor and extends great appreciation and congratulations to all our customers that were in receipt of an award. Our customers are very valuable hence we strive to offer consistent, personalized and effective service.”
Seaboard provides three sailings per week for dry and refrigerated cargo to the United States from Kingston and it is the only shipping line that also offers this service directly from the port of Montego Bay. In addition, Seaboard also has a premiere service into Grand Cayman and many other Caribbean ports. This service has been instrumental in delivering Jamaican products to overseas markets quickly, safely and reliably. Seaboard Marine’s system of procedures for exports is certified by various international governing bodies. As a result, JEA members can be assured that their cargo is in good, safe and professional hands while firmly establishing their niche in the United Stated as well as the Caribbean.
