Terminal Change in New Orleans

Effective December 4, 2008, Seaboard Marine will be changing its New Orleans stevedoring and terminal operations from Ports America to New Orleans Terminals LLC (Ceres Gulf, Inc.). The terminal location will remain the same at the Port of New Orleans -- the Napoleon Avenue Container Terminal.

- The last vessel to be handled by Ports America will be the Haneburg voyage number 20N / 21S with ETA of Wednesday, December 3, 2008.
- The first vessel to be handled by New Orleans Terminal (Ceres) will be the Westerhaven 65N / 66S on Monday, December 8, 2008 with cargo delivery cutoff on Friday, December 5, 2008.
- Deliveries for the Westerhaven 66S and the Haneburg 22S can begin on Monday, December 1, 2008 at Ceres.
- During the transition period, truckers may be instructed to pickup Seaboard chassis at Ports America prior to picking up their import container or empty container at the Ceres Terminal.
Please note that New Orleans Terminals (Ceres) and Ports America both operate (adjacent to each other) at the Port of New Orleans' Napoleon Avenue container complex. Thus, the physical docking location for Seaboard Marine's vessels will not change. All truck deliveries and pickups will be from the same general gate facility at Napoleon Avenue. Further, the on-dock rail yard is currently operated by (New Orleans Terminals Ceres) and this operation will not be affected by Seaboard Marine's move to New Orleans Terminals (Ceres)
