Continuing Venezuela Port Congestion         
December 01, 2008 - The following notice has been shared with Seaboard Marine's customers to and from Venezuela concerning the continued congestion at the ports of Puerto Cabello and LaGuaira.



Terminal Change in New Orleans         
November 21, 2008 - Effective December 4, 2008, Seaboard Marine will be changing its New Orleans stevedoring and terminal operations from Ports America to New Orleans Terminals (Ceres Gulf, Inc).



Dominican Exporters Award Presented to Seaboard Marine         
November 19, 2008 - Seaboard Marine was presented the prestigious “Export Service” award tonight at the 12th annual gala dinner of Adoexpo (Association of Dominican Exporters) which was attended by over 400 persons at the Jaragua hotel in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.



Paloma Spares Grand Cayman         
November 08, 2008 - Seaboard's Georgetown, Grand Cayman office will reopen on Tuesday, November 11 after being closed on November 7 due to Hurricane Paloma.



Honduras Slowed by Flooding         
October 22, 2008 - The Honduran government issued a state of National Emergency for the entire country on October 20 due to heavy rains. Seaboard's offices and facilities, though, are currently open as weather conditions seem to be improving over the past twenty-four hours.



Houston Fully Open After Hurricane Ike         
September 19, 2008 - 5:30 a.m. CDT (Final update). Seaboard Marine's Houston terminal, Jacintoport, and offices re-opened Monday, September 15. They had been closed for four days due to Hurricane Ike.



Northeast Service Moving to New York on October 1         
September 24, 2008 - Seaboard Marine will be moving its port operations from Penn Terminals in Philadelphia to New York effective with the October 1 sailing of the M/V Vega Nicolas.



Important Hurricane Ike Notification         
September 17, 2008 - Dear Valued Customer: Seaboard Marine's Houston terminal, Jacintoport, re-opened September 15 after the passing of Hurricane Ike. Certain areas of the terminal, including a warehouse near the dock, were affected by water resulting from the Hurricane.



Coast Guard Announces Update to TWIC Program         
September 10, 2008 - The U.S. Coast Guard announced yesterday that Jan. 13, 2009 is the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) compliance date for owners and operators of facilities located within Coast Guard Port Zones including Miami and New Orleans.



New Orleans Reopens After Gustav         
September 08, 2008 - 6:30 a.m. CDT (Final update) - Our New Orleans office and facilities will be open today, September 8 as Seaboard employees slowly returned to New Orleans late last week.



Hanna Causes No Damages to Nassau

Miami and Fernandina Facilities Fully Open After Fay         
August 22, 2008 - 10:00 a.m. EDT (Final update). The Miami and Jacksonville areas are no longer under a Warning from Tropical Storm Fay. Our Miami facilities have been operating normally for the past three days while our Fernandina Beach office and terminal have reopened this morning.



Houston Reopens after Tropical Storm Edouard         
August 06, 2008 - 8:30 a.m. CDT (Final update). Houston's Jacintoport terminal as well as Seaboard Marine's office will be open and operating normally today, Wednesday, August 6, 2008.



Seaboard Hosts “America Wins With Trade” Bus Tour         
July 29, 2008 - Using stacks of containers from the Seaboard Marine terminal as a backdrop, the America Free Trade Bus held a press event at the Port of Miami yesterday to celebrate the importance of free trade in the United States.



New Orleans Vessel Traffic Resumes         
July 28, 2008 - (9:30a EDT final update). Due to a large oil spill in the Mississippi River that occurred July 23, the U.S. Coast Guard closed approximately 80 miles of the Mississippi River from New Orleans to the Southwest Pass.



Perez-Jones Awards Congressman Rangel         
June 23, 2008 - Seaboard Marine’s Jose Perez-Jones, on behalf of the Caribbean Central American Action Committee (CCAA), last week presented Congressman Charles “Charlie” Rangel with the CCAA’s annual “Star of the Caribbean Award” at the Library of Congress.

June 16, 2008 - At last week’s annual conference in Nashville, TN, Landstar Global Logistics once again named Seaboard Marine as its “Ocean Carrier of the Year” for 2007.



US Census Bureau publishes Automated Export System (AES) final regulations         
June 13, 2008 - The Census Bureau recently published final rulings regarding mandatory Automated Export System (AES) filing. The new regulations go into effect on July 2, 2008. Shippers, forwarders, and ocean carriers who file or allow inaccurate or tardy export documentation will be subject to penalties that are much higher than those currently levied.



Seaboard Marine Outfitted with Autoload®-SPS         
June 09, 2008 - Autoship Systems Corporation (ASC) of Vancouver, Canada and Seaboard Marine are pleased to have reached an agreement for the delivery of the Autoload-SPS (ship planning system). The roll-out of Autoload -SPS will be phased in over the next year with 40 ships and all Seaboard offices being outfitted with this innovative software tool for ship planners.



Service to Chile and Peru Upgraded         
June 05, 2008 - Starting today with the sailing of the M/V Corona J, Seaboard Marine is now offering a direct fortnightly service from Miami to Peru and Chile.

Nicaraguan Truckers Strike Over
